She is superstitious
· She didn't own a TV until the year 2000, and bought a computer
in Febuary 2001.
· During her childhood, she didn't enjoy competitive sports
instead prefering equestrian sports (riding horses).
· Laura performed the part of Ada in "Childe Byron"
at her undergraduate alma mater, Brown University, in 1986. That
was the only time she's performed in her father's plays.
· Every summer, she attended Camp Equinita in New Milford,
Pennsylvania, with her friends.
· She was a Camp Susquehanna dramatics Oscar winner in 1974
· She had an imaginary sister whom she blamed when she wrote
on the wall or spilled milk on the carpet.
· Armistead Maupin, 56, who has become one of her best friends
since they met on the first Tales of the City series, accompanied
her to the 2000 Oscars.
· Her childhood favourite TV shows were The Waltons, The
